Coma - Rule of 1 2 3 4

Patients are often brought to the ED in coma with no history.   A complete neurologial exam in this situation is time consuming and inappropriate.   Only a few things really matter in terms of diagnosis and treatment - these involve distinguishing between toxic/metabolic and structural causes.   The outline covers appropriate parts of the neurologic exam to help make such a distinction.

The graphics are helpful, but will require scolling to be seen completely.
